SIDE NOTE:
At the George E. Coleman, Sr. Planetarium, students and the general public can explore the night sky as seen from Earth, or fly into the cosmos to explore other worlds in their dome-shaped theater. Planetarium events are open to the public and are FREE unless otherwise stated.
With a 30 foot diameter dome and a state-of-the-art Digistar 6 Full-Dome Digital Planetarium Projector you’re guaranteed an exciting experience. You will be truly immersed in the universe and see incredible modern-day scientific discoveries!
Weekends and weekdays after 5:30 p.m. – All faculty and staff parking is open to the public. There is parking directly behind the building.
After the planetarium show, view the real night sky through telescopes at the UNG North Georgia Astronomical Observatory (weather permitting).
