SIDE NOTE:
At the Versant Power Astronomy Center they offer a wide variety of services with hands on and interactive learning. With a continually changing line-up of Planetarium Programs and special events, they bring the universe to you. The planetarium was originally designed to be used for class demonstrations, but later opened its doors to the general public. The planetarium is the perfect spot for school field trips, space based parties, or any other special occasion.
The planetarium continues to provide academic presentations and demonstrations for the students at the University of Maine, including hands on labs, as well and educational shows for the general public and throngs of school children who visit the Astronomy Center every year.
