Hammond Planetarium

SIDE NOTE:

The Planetarium is the namesake of Guy Hammond. A decorated World War II veteran who earned medals for his service in the European, North African and Middle Eastern theaters, Hammond was an insurance agent for AAA Michigan for 58 years, retiring in 1994. He was an avid outdoors-man known for his steadfast loyalty, quiet and unassuming demeanor, and generous and giving nature.

The Hammond Planetarium is a state-of-the-art auditorium that seats up to 48 people and takes them on a journey to the stars where they learn about our solar system. In partnership with local amateur astronomy clubs, the planetarium is able to offer regularly scheduled shows that are free to the public, as well as private shows to groups or organizations interested in discovering the awe, wonder, and majesty of our night sky.

Parking at HFC is free; students and visitors do not need parking passes.
