SFCC Planetarium

SIDE NOTE:

The Planetarium at Santa Fe Community College is an integral part of the astronomy curriculum at SFCC, but they also pride themselves on their accessibility to the general public! They offer presentations on the solar system planets, phases of the Moon, tours of night sky constellations, shows on modern astrophysics (e.g. dark matter), galaxies & cosmology, astrobiology, and more.

The immersive shows offered at their Planetarium are a fun and exciting way to explore the cosmos from the comfort of a reclining seat. The SFCC Planetarium is a full-dome theater facility that can be used for a wide range of science-based educational experiences. It is available for hosting private events, birthday parties, K-12 school group visits, adult continuing education classes, and night-sky tours for all ages.
