Arne Slettebak Planetarium

SIDE NOTE:

The Arne Slettebak OSU Planetarium is fulldome digital theater and planetarium located at The Ohio State University. It is situated in Smith Laboratory in the heart of the academic core on north campus. The planetarium originally opened in 1968 and has served OSU students and the central Ohio community ever since, giving audiences views of the heavens and walking them through the night sky.

Above the Arne Slettebak Planetarium is the Smith Lab Observatory, currently housing a 12-inch telescope. They offer “roof nights” several times a year where anyone can join us in peering deep into the sky with our scopes. Visitors are also able to interact with real astronomers from the OSU Department of Astronomy during these events.

Parking: There is no parking available at Smith Laboratory itself. Public parking garages are located nearby on the OSU campus, with parking available off High Street, for a small fee. We recommend the Tuttle Garage or Ohio Union Garage which are open to visitors during the day.
