SIDE NOTE:

The University of Wisconsin – La Crosse Planetarium presents programs to school groups, private groups, and the public. Their facility has been recognized in Physics Today, The Alumnus, and La Crosse Magazine. The goal of the Planetarium is to provide educational outreach for the area and to raise awareness of the value of astronomy.

 

There are monthly Public Programs in October, November, December, February, March, and April. They are on Saturdays at 1:00 pm. Each program begins with a talk on the current evening sky, followed by a multimedia audiovisual presentation on an astronomical subject.

 

Parking: Park in the Stadium Lot. The Stadium Lot (Commuter Lot 2 or C-2) is on the northeast corner of East Avenue and Pine Street. Commuter (C) lots are NOT enforced on weekends, so you do not need to use the Pay Station.
